Gear Tooth Vernier Caliper
Features:
Consists of two adjustable verniers, that reference two dimensions on the gear and provide a measurement.
Verticle scale: Measures the depth of the teeth from the top of the pitch line.
Horizontal scale: This is used to measure the Chordal Thickness of the gear tooth.
The Caliper can be used without removing the gear from the machine.
■ Stainless steel, satin chrome plated reading surface.
■ Can be used for measuring hobs, form and thread tools.
■ Adjusted independently by screws on the graduated bars.
■ Thickness of a tooth at the pitch line is measured by an adjustable jaw after the addendum is set by the adjustable tongue.
■ Packed in wooden box.
